STRUCTURAL GENOMICS

The nucleus of a cell contains chromatin - a complex of DNA and proteins that encodes the genes a living organism uses to carry out life. We perform theoretical and experimental studies to analyze and predict the 3D structure of the human genome, and its relation with the genomic diversity of human populations, both natural and pathological. We combine different type of data: chromatin conformation capture data (ChIA-PET and Hi-C), chromatin state data (ChIP-seq, GRO-seq, Bru-seq, ATAC-seq), microscopic data and introduce them into the modelling.
